OF THE INTERNATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY AGENCY (IRENA)

<a id="p100012"></a>Entry into force: 8 July 2010
<a id="p100013"></a>Article XIX of the Statute (Enry into force):
<a id="p100014"></a>"This Statute shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the twenty-fifth instrument of ratification.
<a id="p100015"></a>For States or regional intergovernmental economic integration organisations having deposited an instrument of ratification or accession after the entry into force of the Statute, this Statute shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the relevant instrument."
<a id="p100016"></a>Article VI of the Statute (Membership):
<a id="p100017"></a>"B. Such States and regional intergovernmental economic integration organisations shall become:
1. <a id="p100018"></a>original Members of the Agency by having signed this Statute and having deposited an instrument of ratification;
2. <a id="p100019"></a>other Members of the Agency by depositing an instrument of accession after their application for membership has been approved. Membership shall be regarded as approved if three months after the application has been sent to Members no disagreement has been expressed. In case of disagreement the application shall be decided on by the Assembly in accordance with Article IX paragraph H number 1."

<a id="p100023"></a><1> "With regard to the Declaration submitted by the Republic of Azerbaijan on 11 June, 2014 upon depositing the instrument of ratification of the Statute of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Republic of Armenia hereby declares:
<a id="p100024"></a>The Republic of Azerbaijan deliberately misrepresents the essence of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, with respect to causes and effects of the conflict. The conflict arose due to the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Republic of Azerbaijan aimed at suppressing the free will of the Nagorno-Karabakh population, which has been followed by the massive military aggression against the self-determined Nagorno-Karabakh Republic."
<a id="p100025"></a><2> "The Republic of Azerbaijan declares that, until the liberation of its territories occupied by the Republic of Armenia (the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its seven districts surrounding that region) from the occupation and complete elimination of the consequences of that occupation, the Republic of Azerbaijan shall not cooperate with the Republic of Armenia within the framework of this Statute (the schematic map of the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan is enclosed)."
